ROE #30 is hiring an Office Assistant for our Pinckneyville office to serve the regional vocational program (EFE 540) and our office. This position will be starting in approximately one month to allow for time to work alongside Jane Folden, as Jane looks to retire at the end of the calendar year.
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to support daily office operations, conduct fingerprinting, execute purchasing and inventory work for the vocation programming, and assist the regional vocational program director.

Illinois AI Challenge | Free for students and educators
The Illinois AI Challenge is a statewide competition for students in grades 6-12. Teams of up to four students, supported by an adult coach, identify a real-world problem and develop an AI-based solution. Students can participate through either a written proposal or a working technical build, and there are also tracks for educators.
There is no cost to participate, and at least $2,000 in prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.
October 9 at 5 PM: Interest form deadline
November 9: Team information due
December 18: Final submissions due
January 8: Winners announced

🎶 Working 9 to 5 (ish)… and supporting young readers across Southern Illinois! 📚
Today members of the ROE 30 team joined in the fun of "Dolly Parton Day" while supporting a cause that has a tremendous impact on children and families throughout our region — Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library!
Our team enjoyed wearing shirts supporting Read SI, our local Imagination Library affiliate serving children across Southern Illinois, including families throughout all five ROE 30 counties: Alexander, Jackson, Perry, Pulaski, and Union. Proceeds from the shirts directly support Read SI and its work to put books into the hands of young children across our region.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library helps build a love of reading from an early age by providing free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five. We’re proud to support Read SI and everyone helping make that opportunity available to Southern Illinois families.
And if we can support early literacy while having a little "9 to 5" fun along the way, that sounds like a pretty good day at the office and in our classrooms!
