The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act provides important educational protections and support for children and youth experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
And "homelessness" doesn't always look the way people expect.
It may include families who are temporarily staying with friends or relatives because they lost their housing, living in a motel, staying in a shelter, or experiencing another unstable housing situation.
