Purpose of the Vocational Regional Delivery System
The primary mission of these grants is to improve career and technical education (CTE) student achievement; leading to
success in post-secondary education and career opportunities. The system’s ability to improve CTE student achievement
is enhanced through the following activities:

- providing CTE students with strong experience and understanding of all aspects of an industry;
- developing, improving, or expanding the use of technology in CTE programs;
- providing professional development to teachers, counselors, and administrators;
- developing and implementing program evaluation;
- initiating, improving, expanding, and modernizing programs;
- providing services and activities that are of sufficient size, scope, and quality to be effective;
- linking secondary and post-secondary career and technical education.
