GED Testing offered every Friday
from 8am- 4pm
You can register online to take the GED Test at www.ged.com. Although registration is done online, the tests will actually be administered on computer at the official GED testing site that you select during registration. Testing fees must be paid at the time of scheduling. For more information regarding registration, download the How To Guide for MyGED or contact Pearson VUE at 1-877-392-6433 (1-877-EXAM-GED).
The cost to take the GED test is $30 per test module, $120 for the entire test. There are 4 test modules. Test fees must be paid online at the time of registration.
GED Testing is available every Friday from 8am to 4pm at the Murphysboro Annex.
Seven (7) hours is the time provided if you choose to take the complete the entire test. A total of 4 test modules comprise the GED Test. You will have the option of taking as many modules as you wish. The time allotted for each module is as follows:

- Reasoning Through Language Arts: 150 minutes (with 10-minute break).
- Mathematical Reasoning: 90 minutes
- Science: 90 minutes
- Social Studies: 90 minutes
An individual is eligible to take the GED Test given they meet all of the following conditions:
Note: *If an individual is 17 years old and has been enrolled in a public, private, or a home school setting in the last 12 months, they must present a withdrawal letter from the last school enrolled in before taking the GED tests. If homeschooled, they must also provide a letter from the person responsible for the homeschooling [e.g., instructor, tutor, parent, guardian, etc.] stating the program has been completed, the individual is no longer required to be homeschooled, and the individual has been cleared to take the GED® exam.
- 18 years of age or older*
- does not have a high school diploma or GED credential and is not currently enrolled in a secondary school
- is a resident of the State of Illinois
