Common Core: English Language Arts - In the Common Core links located on the right, you will click on English Language Arts in a PDF or Excel format. Page 8 will provide information on how to read the standards and what is in each appendix. Page 10 will provide CCR Anchor standards that correspond to grade specific standards. Pages 31-32 refer to the diagram that describes the factors of measuring text complexity and the following setion that provides samples of literary and informational text.

Common Core: Mathematics - In the Common Core links located on the right, you will click Mathematics in a PDF or Excel format. Pages 3-4 include the introduction for the matematic standards. Page 5 will provide the review of how to read the grade level standards. Page 10 will provide the math practices as this is similar to the ELA Anchor Standards at every grade. Page 57 will provide the High School Introduction. Page 85 incudes the glossary.

Common Core: Gap Analysis - Locate the Gap Analysis link on the right of the ISBE page. The first document is the Introduction; this should be read prior to working your way through the Gap Analysis. The second document is the Gap Analysis found in PDF or Excel. English Language Arts and Mathematics are separate documents. When you open the document there will be tabs at the bottom of each grade span.

PARCC and the 2014-2015 Assessment - Twenty-six states are working together in the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers. The new assessment system will greatly increase the number of graduating students who are ready to succeed after graduating. Illinois is one of 11 states serving on PARCC;s governing board, helping to lead the way.

National Parent Teacher Association PTA - The Parents' Guide to Student Success (offered in English and Spanish) was developed in response to the Common Core State Standards in English language arts and mathematics that more than 40 states have adopted. National PTA created the guides for grades K-8 and two for grades 9-12 (one for English language arts/literacy ad one for mathematics).
Ohio Model Curriculum - During the summer and fall of 2010, teachers across Ohio worked collaboratively i teams to suggest instructional strategies and resources that align with the revised standards. The State Board of Education adopted the Model Curricuulum on March 15, 2011.
Great Lakes West Planning Tool - The planning tool is intended as a resource for ongoing planning and implementing that will allow disricts and schools to make changes to reflect current status and monitor progress. Districts will received login and passwords. Contact your ROE for more information.
